Mabalingwe Nature Reserve

At the Mabalingwe Lodge, the following can be done:

Paradise Lodge is situated in the Greater Mabalingwe Nature reserve and boast approximately 2000 head of game, including elephant, rhino, hippo, buffalo, lion and leopard. The accommodation is ideal for nature lovers and wildlife photographers, as well as a quality break away for the whole family. This house is ideal for 1 group at a time, and discounted rates will apply for the booking of the whole house. In December the birds will be breeding and small warthogs play around the house. The lodge comprises of 5, air-conditioned bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. The Honeymoon suite is separate from the other units, but still part of the house as to make use of the facilities. The house features an open-plan kitchen, equipped with everything guests will need for self-catering, a dining room with ample seating and a lounge area with comfortable seating and a flat-screen TV with DSTV. There is also a guest toilet in the living area.

Room 1 is located on the ground-floor and is fitted with a queen-size bed and a full en-suite bathroom equipped with a bath, shower, toilet and basin. The room also has a writing desk and an electronic safe.

Room 2 is fitted with 2 three-quarter beds and an additional bed, ideal for children. The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a bath, shower, toilet and basin.

Room 3 & 4 each has 2 three-quarter beds and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.

The Honeymoon Suite is located on the first floor and is fitted with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom equipped with a large walk-in shower, a toilet and basin. This room also has access to the balcony with spectacular views of the bushveld.

There are braai facilities as well as a small swimming pool. Braai wood can be supplied at extra cost. There is a carport for 2 vehicles. Small children need to be supervised at the swimming pool, we do not accept any responsibility.

In the Greater Mabalingwe, there is a farm stall with a large swimming pool and 2 tennis courts and 2 squash courts. The Main Lodge has a restaurant and a bar on the premises as well as a heated swimming pool. Horse riding and archery can be booked at reception.

Take the N1 North towards Polokwane;
Continue to follow N1 for 92,2 Km;
Take exit 238 to merge onto R516;
Merge onto R516;
Turn right onto Marx street/ R101;
Turn left onto Potgieter Road;
Turn right onto Ritchie Road;
Turn left onto Voortrekker Road;
At the traffic circle, take the first exit onto Rooiberg Road;
Continue onto R516;
After 26.5 km, turn right into Mabalingwe Nature Reserve.
